The House budget resolution places the U.S. on a more fiscally sustainable course by taking steps to reign in the record deficits of the Bush Administration. In fact, according to the Congressional Budget Office, this year’s budget could cut the national deficit in half by 2015.
First off, congress controls our nation's purse, not the president as Brad Miller seems to suggest. The only power a president has over the budget is the veto.
Secondly, our national deficit was decreasing until Democrats like Brad Miller took control of congress and our national budget in the last years of Bush's Administration. Here is a visual from the CBO:
Finally, this is Brad Miller's vision for our future. Do you feel like we are on a "fiscally sustainable course"?
