The PPP poll found that there is currently little love among NC voters for Democrats. Apparently, though, the big news according to PPP is that Andy Griffith's poll numbers are down.
PPPNo, he is not running for office.
You know how bad things are for Democratic political figures these days? Even Andy Griffith's poll numbers have seen a significant decline in the last 2 years.
Our latest North Carolina poll found Griffith at 44/22 in the state for a net favorability of +22. That represents a 25 point decline from June of 2008 when Griffith was at a net +47 (56/9.)
As for politicians, Obama, Kay Hagan, and Bev Perdue's unfavorability numbers range from 50% to 55%. Of course, none of these politicians are currently running for office. Sarah Palin, however, received better unfavorability numbers than Obama, Perdue, or Hagan. Palin is not running either, though.
One of the few takeaways is that 45% of NC voters now claim to have voted for Obama in 2008. And 54% of NC voters claim to have voted for McCain in 2008. Embarrassment.
Was this poll done by Saturday Night Live?
What a waste.
