Beufort County Commissioners Voted to ask NC to Join ObamaCare Suit

polifrog

ObamaCare is a national horror and only by pushing for change on both the national level as well as the local level can we affect change.

Unfortunately, our NC Gov. Bev Purdue continues to stymie common sense and choose political irrelevancy through her preference for being on the wrong side of history. Bev Purdue is as much of a problem in NC as Brad Miller.

Imagine, a NC Governor supports abdicating 1/6 of NC's economy to the federal government, a federal government that at the same time pushes the costs of ObamaCare onto the State of NC through Medicade and high risk pools.  Bev Purdue actively hurts NC through her support for ObamaCare, an unbelievable action considering her oath of office.

"I do solemnly and sincerely swear that I will be faithful and bear true allegiance to the State of North Carolina, and to the constitutional powers and authorities which are or may be established for the government thereof; and that I will endeavor to support, maintain and defend the Constitution of said State, not inconsistent with Constitution of the United States, to the best of my knowledge and ability; so help me God."
Bev Purdue, faithfully flipping NC the bird through ObamaCare.

For now, it is always wonderful and invigorating to find and see local resistance,

Via Beufort Observer Online:
At their monthly meeting May 10, 2010 the Beaufort County Commissioners voted 4-3 along party lines, to recommend to the Governor, Legislature and the Attorney General that North Carolina join a law suit that has now been filed by fifteen other states to challenge the constitutionality of ObamaCare.

And if you wish to hear and see resistance to government overreach in action see the below video...
I think a visit to Beufort  County is in order.
