Frankly, I wonder why the Supremes go to the SOTU at all. I suppose it is out of respect to the president, but I find it troubling when the president berates individuals rendered mute by tradition.

Bully.
I hope the Supremes avoid future SOTU address. There is history for them to do so.
Of course the thin skinned Obama administration immediately mumbled something about a 3-4 ruling in response to Justice Roberts' critique. Here. Never mind that Obama lied....again.
Once during a health care speech to congress. The only memorable thing from which was the South Carolina Congressman charging 'You lie!'
Then lying again during the SOTU address in reference to foreign corporations being freed by the Supreme Court to influence US campaigns through donations. 'Not True' is what I remember first from that speech.
In both cases Obama carried distortions too far and in effect both times stepped on his own message.
This lack of subtlety hurts his agenda....thankfully.
