In a previous post I suggested that socialists and communists migrated to the Environmental movement after the fall for the Soviet Empire. I've also come to believe that extreme environmentalism in the form of global warming should perhaps be thought of as the palatable Socialism, as a way to sell Socialism to those who would otherwise reject it out of hand. After all, the environmentalists argue that it takes governmental control with a global reach to save our planet from ourselves. Big, big government is salvation.
Why? I don't think it can be denied that the more tyrannical, the more communist, a country is, the filthier it is. It also seems the case that the freer the citizen the cleaner the country is. Could it be that the recourse available to the free to affect change leads to a truer environmentalism? It surly seems so but I assume this path to a cleaner world is too grass roots for the Socialist/Communist/Environmentalist movement. Yes they are of one ..
