I personally tend to avoid statistics in arguments, as they can be skewed by, not only the data input, or chosen to be observed, but in the inferences derived from the results. (Krugman's playgrond)It is a fact the statistics can appear very scientific when they are not. We frequently sense this when the announced results simply do not comport with our experience.
