Polifrog does not accuse Obama of stupidity but when the man argues drivel such as this reported in this NYT regurgitated tripe,
White House officials countered that Ford indirectly benefited from the bailout because the federal money kept suppliers in business.Polifrog questions Obama's education.
While visiting Ford Obama said this:
When the financial crisis hit and this great recession hit, that collided with an industry that for a long time had put off some hard choices, had put off adapting to changing times. And we had to face a hard, unimaginable reality, which was two of the Big Three automakers -- GM and Chrysler -- were on the brink of liquidation. If that had happened, more than 1 million jobs could have been lost, and that would have been a devastating blow to the entire economy.
Let Polifrog translate: Ford, you should thank me for saving your competitors. Increased market share is for wimps. Ford is better off and you, as employees of Ford, are all better off with a smaller share of the automotive market.
Sigh...
Although it would be easy to label Obama stupid, he is not. The reality, of course, is clear-- in this instance Obama is choosing political over economic arguments. Obama's blatant use for political gain the economic devastation that has spread across the American countryside is not only unconscionable, but it as unAmerican as Lenin. At a time when economic conditions are once again deteriorating Polifrog finds this a frightening choice.
